Overview

The complete Morocco experience: Marrakech medina, High Atlas, Aït Ben Haddou, Sahara dunes at Merzouga, Fes, Chefchaouen, and the Atlantic coast — ten days in one private vehicle with a dedicated driver-guide.

This is the itinerary we recommend when someone says 'we have ten days and want to see it all'. Starting in Marrakech and ending in Casablanca, the circuit covers Morocco's essential landscapes and cities without a day wasted: the medina and gardens of Marrakech, the High Atlas pass, the UNESCO kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, three days in and around the Sahara at Merzouga, the medieval city of Fes, the blue medina of Chefchaouen, and a final night in Casablanca for Hassan II Mosque before your flight home.

The pacing is careful: two nights in the Sahara give you a full free day on the dunes; Fes gets two nights for a proper historian walk; Chefchaouen gets a sunrise morning without rushing. We use one dedicated driver-guide for the entire journey so nothing falls between the cracks.

Trip highlights

  • Marrakech medina and Jardin Majorelle with a private guide
  • Cross the High Atlas via Tizi n'Tichka and sleep in Aït Ben Haddou
  • Three nights in the Sahara — camel ride, dune sunrise, Khamlia gnaoua village
  • Two full days in Fes el-Bali with a private historian
  • Chefchaouen sunrise walk and Spanish mosque hike
  • Hassan II Mosque, Casablanca — the Atlantic's most dramatic building

Frequently asked

Questions about this tour.

Is "Full Morocco — Ten Days" private or a group tour?

100% private. Just you and the people you book with — your own driver, vehicle and pace from start to finish. We never pool travellers.

Can I change the dates or itinerary?

Yes. Every itinerary is a starting point. Add a day, swap a riad, change the start city — we'll re-quote in 24 hours and lock the price in writing before any deposit.

How fit do I need to be?

Moderate. Expect 2–4 hours of light walking per day and one or two longer driving days. We pace days carefully and stop often.

When should I book?

For high season (Oct–Apr) and any trip involving the Sahara or hot-air balloon, book 8–12 weeks ahead. Last-minute (under 14 days) is usually still possible with a phone call.

Is ten days enough, or is two weeks better?

Ten days is sufficient for this exact circuit — we have paced it carefully so nothing feels rushed. Two weeks would let you add Essaouira on the coast, a second night in Chefchaouen, or a slower Sahara day. We'd always suggest more time rather than less, but ten days is a genuinely satisfying Morocco experience.

Can we do this route in reverse, starting in Casablanca?

Yes. Many clients fly into Casablanca and out of Marrakech — the itinerary reverses cleanly. Some prefer this direction as the Sahara comes earlier and the journey ends with the relative cool of Marrakech's medina after the desert heat.

What is the best season for a ten-day Morocco circuit?

October to April is ideal: the Sahara is warm rather than extreme, the Atlas passes are clear (heavy snowfall can close Tizi n'Tichka in January–February), and the medina cities are at their most comfortable. Spring (March–April) brings wildflowers on the Atlas and green valleys.
