Booking terms & conditions

The fair, plain-English rules of booking a Morocco trip with us. If anything here is unclear, just ask us before paying a deposit.

1. Who we are

Maison Atlas is a licensed Destination Management Company registered in Marrakech, Morocco (DMC #M-2014-318), with full professional liability insurance. "We", "us" and "our" in these terms refer to Maison Atlas SARL.

2. Booking & confirmation

A booking is confirmed once we have received your signed itinerary and a 30% deposit (or 25% for trips above $4,000). We will hold quoted availability for 72 hours from issue. Prices outside that window may be re-quoted based on supplier rates.

3. Payment

Deposits and balances may be paid by bank transfer, secure card payment (Stripe), or — for transfers and add-ons only — cash on arrival in USD, EUR, GBP or MAD. The full balance is due 14 days before arrival unless otherwise stated in your quote.

4. Cancellation by you

More than 30 days before arrival: full deposit refund. 14–29 days: 50% of deposit refunded, balance held as credit valid 18 months. Less than 14 days: total trip cost is non-refundable but transferable to another date within 18 months, subject to supplier availability.

5. Cancellation by us

We may cancel a trip in cases of force majeure (severe weather, civil unrest, pandemic-related restrictions). In such cases you receive a full refund of all monies paid to Maison Atlas, less any non-recoverable third-party costs already incurred and documented in writing.

6. Changes after confirmation

Free changes (dates, riad swap, route tweak) are accepted up to 21 days before arrival. Inside 21 days, changes are subject to supplier availability and any cost difference. We never charge an internal admin fee for changes.

7. Travel documents & insurance

You are responsible for valid passports, visas and any health requirements for entry to Morocco. Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical evacuation, cancellation and personal property is required for desert, helicopter and trekking itineraries.

8. Our liability

Maison Atlas acts in good faith as the operator of your trip and contracts directly with all suppliers (drivers, riads, camps, guides). Our liability is capped at the total trip cost paid to us. We are not liable for loss, injury or delay caused by force majeure, third-party airlines, or the wilful act of any traveller.

9. Conduct & responsibility

You agree to behave with reasonable respect for local customs, staff and other travellers. We reserve the right to end a trip without refund in cases of illegal activity or abusive conduct toward our staff or suppliers.

10. Complaints

Issues are easiest to resolve in real time — please WhatsApp the 24/7 concierge during your trip. Formal complaints should be sent to hello@maisonatlas.example within 28 days of return and will be acknowledged within 7 days.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent courts of Marrakech.
